Code of conduct initiative

ULD are flight safety critical and costly items of aircraft equipment.

They require suitable operation and handling if they are to protect the aircraft and its systems during flight and to avoid expensive damage during ground operations. Their operation is subject to aviation authority regulatory requirements for which airlines are responsible, however much of today’s widespread air cargo footprint involving multiple parties such as ground handlers, cargo terminals, freight forwarders and transport providers fall outside this regulatory requirement. The ULD CARE ULD Code of Conduct is designed to create a foundation for all players in the aircargo industry to deliver safe, cost effective and sustainable ULD operations and handling.
